Updates on current horses before pics! Hopefully you will get an idea of what we deal with on a regular basis taking care of horses in need. All this care takes time and lots of money, even though we do a good job of finding the best deals and products that save some money. We are still in need of Supporters like you to keep doing what we do and some day expand to do more.

    Little Guy Before

    First Pic Nov. 24, 2020

He had a decent winter coat and badly needed hooves trimmed. His back left hoof grows extra fast compared to his others. Previous owner said he has always had that issue since she got him when he was about 8 years old. It may be the conformation of that back leg but it is always being regularly trimmed and that helps with keeping it at a better angle and more upright.

    Little Guy Before

He was evaluated and found that he was mostly blind and that his teeth had been ground down to the gum line. We started right away feeding soaked pellets into a warm mash and he immediately gained a good weight. Yes it fluctuates occasionally but with his age that is to be expected to stay on top of all issues as they come.

    Baby Before pic

    Jan. 24, 2022

She came to us malnourished quite a bit. She had been neglected and also had a locking stifle.

Baby Almost a month later pic

    Feb. 11, 2022

During evaluation vet recommended starting alfalfa hay and some forage pellets grains with vitamin E powder since her lungs sounded a bit raspy. Sorry this pic is fuzzy but you can still see that she already started regaining her weight within a short time.
